In addition to the sponsors' stands - event partners, SPP has prepared special zones to carry out individual projects: a competition zone, a zone for exams for a parquet worker, a presentation area and multimedia shows, a meeting and business talk zone, and a design zone.
The most important event was the INTERNATIONAL PARQUINS 'CHAMPIONSHIPS. The competitors had to install a floor pattern developed by ... themselves. The international jury, chaired by Łukasz Kenio, took into consideration design and difficulty, precision of workmanship, organization of work, order, compliance with health and safety regulations, compliance with the parquet art: accuracy of cuts, measurements and pattern routing, fastening and durability of the imposed pattern, diligence, cleanliness, time of completion and of course the final result. The committee included Łukasz Kenio (chairman), Artur Wolkenstein, Jan Osiński, Jiri Dvorak (Czech Republic), Wiesław Hybiak from the Wielkopolska Chamber of Crafts, Franciszek Synowiec - vocational teacher at ZSZ in Oświęcim. The competition was preceded by specialized training in the use of machinery and equipment by FESTOOL and MAFELL.

Introduction of the subject of vocational education to the program, invitation of students from the school in Oświęcim to the competition is the next stage of the association's activities to popularize the profession among young people and introduce parquet layer profession to the eduacation programme. I am glad that both – great, experienced professionals and young parquet layers, students of the school - participated in the competition and presented the great artistry of parquet laying craftsmanship. Such a huge event could not take place without the support of our reliable sponsors, whom I would like to thank not only for the funding but also for the huge personal commitment of the employees. I would like to express my gratitude to the MTP Board, in particular to Mr. Tomasz Kobierski and the management of the Budma team, Mr. Director Dariusz Muślewski and Mrs. Violetta Pastwa for constructive cooperation and commitment - summarized the president of the Board of the Polish Parquet Layers Association Dariusz Kozera.
